Solana (SOL) has slipped around 3% over the past week as the token continues to cool after its strong September rally. SOL is also down nearly 20% year-to-date, although the broader recovery from its June lows remains visible on the chart.

SOL is currently trading around $101 after retreating from the $124 area reached in late September and early October. With price now approaching an important support level, the next reaction could help determine whether buyers can stabilize the market or whether the correction extends further.

Solana (SOL) technical analysis

SOLUSD - 1 Day Time Frame

SOL is currently trading around $101, following a gradual decline from its recent high near $124. The nearest important support is located around $96. This area previously acted as a base before Solana accelerated higher in September and therefore represents the first major level to monitor during the current pullback.

Holding above $96 could help preserve the broader recovery structure and provide buyers with an opportunity to regain momentum. A sustained daily move below this level, however, could weaken the short-term picture and increase the possibility of a deeper correction.

If $96 fails to hold, the next significant support is positioned around $71. This area played an important role during the summer consolidation before SOL's stronger move higher. A more pronounced decline could eventually bring the major support near $60 back into focus. This level corresponds with the June low and represents a much stronger longer-term technical reference.

Solana (SOL) price target

The main upside resistance is located around $124. SOL struggled to sustain momentum above this area during its recent rally, making it the key level buyers would need to overcome before the technical outlook strengthens further. A sustained recovery toward $124 could indicate that buyers are regaining control, while a convincing breakout above the level could create room for further upside beyond the recent range.

Before that happens, SOL may first need to stabilize above the $96 support and rebuild momentum from its current position around $101. On the downside, a sustained break below $96 could shift attention toward $71, while a deeper correction could eventually expose $60.

For now, $96 remains the key support level to watch, while $124 represents the main upside target. SOL's reaction around these levels could provide a clearer indication of whether the broader recovery resumes or the current correction extends further.
