Is there common ground between crypto trading and mixed martial arts? We believe so; thrill. BITmarkets is proud to announce its partnership with Combat X in Hungary. The major event in mixed martial arts under the International MMA Federation, took place on 30 September, Zalakerámia Sport- és Rendezvénycsarnok in Zalaegerszeg.

Sponsored by BITmarkets, which offers its cryptocurrency trading services in numerous EU markets, the event featured 16 fighters from around the globe which competed in the CX Lightweight, Welterweight and Featherweight Championships. The exciting main event triumphed Hungary's own Benjamin Molnár against the Honduran Jorge Garcia Urbina.

Other amateur and pro fights, which included 6 MMA bouts and 1 kickboxing bout other than the main MMA event, welcomed fighters from Hungary, Turkey, Serbia, Norway and Thailand.

“As blockchain and cryptocurrencies have been successfully disrupting the traditional financial system, we perceive the MMA sport also as a blow of fresh air to the traditional martial arts. This makes BITmarkets and Combat X natural partners to attract vibrant audiences,” said Tai Peckol, Head of Business Development at BITmarkets.

After Benjamin Molnár's impressive victory against his counterpart from Honduras, BITmarkets CEO Peter Sumer congratulated the winner by handing him the CX Featherweight Championship title belt, with the champion posing proudly with the retained accolade with those which supported him on his journey towards the top.
