According to a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, Strive completed the purchases between Sept. 8 and Sept. 11 at an average price of $77,954 per Bitcoin, including fees and expenses. Bitcoin was trading at around $78,823, according to CoinGecko data.
Strive CEO Matt Cole said the latest Bitcoin acquisition was financed entirely using proceeds from sales of SATA, the company’s perpetual preferred stock. SATA has now exceeded $1 billion in outstanding notional value. Over the same period, the number of outstanding SATA shares increased by 402,541 to approximately 10.4 million, according to the filing.
As of Sept. 11, Strive also reported $204.2 million in cash and cash equivalents, alongside 505,000 shares of Strategy’s STRC preferred stock valued at roughly $49.8 million. Strive became the fifth-largest publicly traded corporate Bitcoin holder in late August after purchasing 1,800 BTC, moving ahead of crypto exchange Bullish.
The company was co-founded in 2022 by Vivek Ramaswamy, now a Republican candidate for governor of Ohio, and became a publicly traded Bitcoin treasury company following its merger with Asset Entities in September 2025.
Strive’s Nasdaq-listed shares climbed more than 7% on Monday to around $29, extending a rally that has seen the stock more than double over the past month, according to Yahoo Finance data. The increase had already lifted Strive’s market capitalization above that of Japanese Bitcoin treasury company Metaplanet, despite Metaplanet holding considerably more Bitcoin. As of Monday, Strive was valued at approximately $2.5 billion, compared with about $1.9 billion for Metaplanet.
The stock has also risen above the $27 exercise price of warrants scheduled to expire in mid-October. If warrant holders exercise them at that price, Strive could receive more than $700 million in additional capital, according to BitcoinTreasuries.net.
Strive’s growing access to capital could provide additional resources for expanding its Bitcoin holdings. Earlier this month, Cole said it was “not out of the realm of possibility” for Strive to become the second-largest publicly traded corporate Bitcoin holder by the end of the year, although he added that this was not his base-case scenario.
