Ripple Prime, Ripple’s multi-asset prime brokerage division, has launched a Delta One service for institutional investors, marking an expansion into US equity derivatives.

The new offering enables clients to execute total return swaps tied to US-listed equities, indexes and digital assets, according to Ripple’s announcement. Total return swaps allow investors to gain exposure to the performance of an asset without directly owning the underlying asset.

The Delta One service is aimed at hedge funds, asset managers and other financial institutions. Ripple said clients can operate through a single counterparty while cross-margining exposures across supported asset classes on a 24/7 basis. “The launch of our Delta One business is an important development for Ripple Prime and a natural extension of the platform we’ve built,” Ripple Prime President Noel Kimmel said.

Ripple Prime already provides prime brokerage, clearing and financing services covering foreign exchange, derivatives, fixed income and digital assets. According to Ripple, the business holds more than $1 billion in regulatory net capital.

Hidden Road acquisition built foundation for Ripple Prime

Ripple Prime was established after Ripple completed its $1.25 billion acquisition of Hidden Road in October 2025 and subsequently rebranded the prime brokerage business. The acquisition significantly expanded Ripple’s institutional financial services operations and provided the foundation for its growing range of prime brokerage products.

The latest Delta One launch further broadens those capabilities by bringing US-listed equities and indexes alongside the platform’s existing digital asset and traditional finance offerings.

Ripple Prime secures funding for growth

The expansion follows several recent financing moves aimed at supporting Ripple Prime’s institutional business. Earlier in August, the company completed a $275 million private placement of senior unsecured notes to help fund its continued growth.

In May, Ripple Prime also secured a $200 million debt facility from funds managed by Neuberger Specialty Finance. The financing was intended to increase the platform’s lending capacity for institutional clients.
