Strive, a publicly traded asset manager and Bitcoin treasury company, added another 1,800 Bitcoin to its holdings last week, strengthening an accumulation strategy that has moved the company into the top five publicly traded corporate Bitcoin holders worldwide.

The company purchased the Bitcoin (BTC) between Aug. 24 and Aug. 28 for approximately $143 million, paying an average price of $79,431 per coin, including fees and expenses. CEO Matt Cole confirmed the purchase on Monday. The acquisition increased Strive’s total holdings to 23,156 BTC, up from 21,356 BTC the previous week. Just one week earlier, the company had acquired 1,110 BTC for roughly $81.5 million at an average price of $73,409 per Bitcoin.

Strive accelerates Bitcoin accumulation

Strive has increased the pace of its Bitcoin purchases in recent weeks. Adam Livingston, an adviser to Saturn Credit, noted that the latest transaction expanded the company’s BTC holdings by approximately 8.4% in only five business days. The purchase also pushed Strive ahead of crypto exchange and digital asset infrastructure company Bullish, making it the fifth-largest publicly traded corporate holder of Bitcoin, according to industry data.

Bitcoin recovery encourages corporate buying

Strive’s increased accumulation has come alongside a broader recovery in Bitcoin and other digital assets that began on Aug. 19. The rebound followed an announcement from the US Treasury Department that it would double the size of certain long-term bond buybacks. The move helped lower Treasury yields and improve demand for risk assets, with Bitcoin gaining more than 23% and recently trading above $81,000.

Strategy also returns to Bitcoin purchases

Strive is not the only major corporate holder increasing its Bitcoin exposure. Strategy, led by Michael Saylor and currently the world’s largest corporate Bitcoin holder, announced on Monday that it had resumed buying Bitcoin for the first time since June. The company acquired 4,603 BTC at an average price of $80,318, lifting its holdings back above 845,000 Bitcoin following four BTC sales since May.
