TOKENIZED STOCKS
The global market capitalization of tokenized stocks climbed to a record $2.3 billion on Wednesday, reflecting growing investor demand for blockchain-based equity products. According to data shared by Token Terminal, the Ethereum network held the largest share of the market at 34%, followed by BNB Chain with 30% and Solana with 23%.

Among the fastest-growing platforms, Kraken’s xStocks accounted for $507 million in tokenized stocks, while Binance’s bStocks reached $334 million. Meanwhile, Ondo Finance remained the largest issuer, with approximately $955 million worth of tokenized equities onchain.

Crypto platforms expand access to traditional investments

An increasing number of crypto companies are bringing traditional financial products onto blockchain networks, allowing investors—particularly those outside the United States—to access tokenized equities with benefits such as fractional ownership and 24/7 trading.

On June 1, Binance introduced zero-commission trading for more than 7,000 US tokenized stocks for eligible users as part of its strategy to become a multi-asset investment platform. Earlier, in December 2025, Coinbase launched commission-free trading for US stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs), offering 24/5 market access.

Other exchanges have also expanded their offerings. In April, Bitget introduced a product linked to the pre-initial public offering (IPO) phase of SpaceX, while Bitpanda announced plans in January to expand its platform with approximately 10,000 stocks and ETFs.

Kraken was among the first major crypto-native exchanges to enter the sector, launching access to 11,000 US-listed stocks and ETFs through xStocks in April 2025. Since then, cumulative trading volume on the platform has surpassed $25 billion in roughly eight months.

Tokenized real-world assets continue rapid growth

The broader market for tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) has expanded significantly despite recent weakness across the cryptocurrency market. According to a June Binance Research report, the sector grew by 589% between early 2025 and June 2026, driven primarily by tokenized government bonds and money market funds. Tokenized precious metals also recorded strong growth, attracting approximately $1.5 billion in value after increasing 39% during the same period.

Despite reaching record highs, tokenized stocks still represent only a small portion of the overall RWA market, accounting for around 5.5% of its $34 billion market capitalization. The largest segment remains tokenized US Treasury debt, valued at approximately $15 billion, or 44% of the market, followed by tokenized commodities, which account for $4.5 billion, or roughly 13%, according to data from RWA.xyz.
