Announced on Thursday, Ripple Mint provides a unified environment where institutional users can manage RLUSD through either a web-based interface or direct application programming interface integrations. “Ripple Mint is built to give institutions flexible access to digital dollars through the workflows that fit their needs,” Ripple said, adding that the platform is designed to support both manual operations and automated integrations as institutions adopt stablecoins for payments, trading and treasury activities.
RLUSD launched in December 2024 with a primary focus on institutional adoption, although it has also attracted growing interest from retail users. The stablecoin has since become one of the largest US dollar-backed tokens by market capitalization, entering the top 10 less than a year after its launch.
Ripple Mint is intended to simplify how institutions use RLUSD across areas such as payments, trading operations and treasury management, while allowing companies to choose between manual access and automated system integrations.
RLUSD reached a record market capitalization of more than $1.8 billion on June 1, 2026, according to CoinGecko. Around the launch of Ripple Mint, the token’s market value briefly increased from approximately $1.54 billion to $1.64 billion before settling near $1.59 billion. At the time of publication, RLUSD was the ninth-largest US dollar-pegged stablecoin by market capitalization.
