The recent consolidation raises an important question for traders: is NEAR building a base for another move higher, or could further downside still be ahead? While short-term price movements remain difficult to predict, the current chart highlights several key support and resistance levels that could shape NEAR's next move.

NEARUSD - 1 Day Time Frame
At the time of writing, NEAR is trading around $2.00, holding comfortably above the immediate $1.70 support level. This area previously acted as a minor resistance zone in January 2026 before eventually turning into support, making it an important level for buyers to defend.
The nearest hurdle is the $2.10 support/resistance (S/R) level, which is currently acting as resistance. A successful break above this area could see it flip back into support, potentially strengthening bullish momentum. If that occurs, the next upside target would be the $2.60 resistance level, with a sustained move beyond it potentially opening the door to a retest of the psychologically significant $3.00 level, which marks NEAR's 2026 high reached in early June. Reaching this level, however, would likely require continued strength across the broader cryptocurrency market.
On the downside, NEAR could continue trading within the current range between the $1.70 support and the $2.10 resistance as the market searches for clearer direction. If selling pressure returns and the $1.70 support level fails to hold, attention could shift to the next key support around $1.50, where buyers may attempt to stabilize the price once again.
As with many cryptocurrencies, NEAR's next significant move is likely to depend not only on its own technical structure but also on broader crypto market sentiment, macroeconomic developments, and geopolitical events. Traders may therefore benefit from monitoring these external factors alongside the key support and resistance levels highlighted on the chart.
