Ramps was previously available only on Stellar, making Solana the second blockchain supported by the service. Rift has become the first Solana wallet to integrate Ramps, enabling users to move between cryptocurrencies and local currencies through MoneyGram.
In an X post announcing the integration, Solana said MoneyGram serves more than 60 million customers through nearly 500,000 retail locations across more than 170 countries. The service is now accessible to Solana developers through a single API.
According to MoneyGram, Ramps supports cash deposits in more than 25 countries and withdrawals across more than 170 countries and territories. The service has also been integrated into the payments module of the Solana Developer Platform, allowing developers to add MoneyGram’s fiat on- and off-ramp capabilities without building their own banking integrations. This gives Solana-based applications a simpler way to connect blockchain services with cash and traditional payment systems.
The Solana rollout is part of MoneyGram’s broader strategy to make Ramps available across multiple blockchain ecosystems. In June, MoneyGram became a Solana validator, staking SOL and helping process transactions on the network. The company also joined the Solana Developer Platform as part of the same expansion.
The latest integration further strengthens MoneyGram’s role in Solana’s payments infrastructure while expanding access to cash-based crypto services across the network.
