Ondo currently leads the sector with roughly $872 million in distributed value, followed by Kraken’s xStocks at $557.8 million and Binance’s bStocks at $521.8 million. BStocks only launched in June but has already moved within about $36 million of xStocks. According to RWA.xyz, some of the largest individual tokenized assets by distributed value include Securitize at $145.2 million, Strategy PP Variable xStock at $135.6 million and Ondo’s tokenized Circle shares at $99.7 million.
The rapid growth in tokenized equities follows a wave of crypto platforms entering private-market and pre-IPO products earlier this year, particularly around SpaceX ahead of its June 12 stock market debut. In the months before the listing, Binance, Coinbase, Kraken, Bybit, Bitget and Blockchain.com introduced products linked to SpaceX, ranging from tokenized pre-IPO exposure to perpetual futures and proxy tokens.
Demand was significant, with one Binance campaign attracting $557 million ahead of the listing. However, several initiatives ran into problems when xStocks was unable to secure enough underlying shares to satisfy investor demand. As a result, Binance, Bybit and Bitget Wallet canceled their tokenized SpaceX IPO campaigns and issued refunds to participating users.
Despite the failed pre-IPO allocations, tokenized exposure to SpaceX has continued expanding since the company began trading publicly. Binance’s bStocks now holds around $67.9 million in distributed SpaceX value, making it the seventh-largest individual tokenized asset tracked by RWA.xyz.
The broader expansion in tokenized stocks reflects growing momentum across the real-world asset sector. Standard Chartered has forecast that the tokenized RWA market could reach $4 trillion by the end of 2028.
