After moving above $2,500, ETH has now pulled back toward the former $2,450 resistance area. This places the token at an important technical point, where buyers may attempt to defend the breakout and preserve the recent bullish momentum.

ETHUSD - 1 Day Time Frame
After breaking above the previous major high around $2,450, ETH moved through Buy-Side Liquidity and strengthened its external market structure, bringing it more closely in line with the already bullish internal structure. Following the move above $2,500, ETH entered a corrective phase and has now returned toward the former Buy-Side Liquidity area around $2,450.
This makes the current area particularly important. Former resistance could begin acting as support if ETH continues to hold above it, helping to preserve the breakout structure. The current pullback could therefore represent a technical retest rather than necessarily signaling a deterioration of the bullish setup.
If the correction extends further, the 0.5 Fibonacci retracement around $2,208 represents the next major technical area. This level marks the midpoint of the latest significant bullish expansion and could provide another important reaction zone.
A move toward $2,208 would represent a deeper retracement following the previous impulsive rally while potentially keeping the broader bullish structure intact. Buyer activity around this level would become particularly important if ETH fails to maintain the current $2,450 area.
The nearest remaining Buy-Side Liquidity is located around $2,560, where several recent highs have formed. This represents the first major upside target if ETH stabilizes around its current support and bullish momentum resumes. A sustained breakout above $2,560 could create another higher high and provide further evidence that the market is accepting prices above the former April resistance.
For now, Ethereum is testing the strength of its latest breakout. The move through $2,450 removed an important resistance area and improved the broader technical structure, while the current correction has brought the price back toward this former liquidity level.
Holding around $2,450 could keep attention on another move toward $2,560. If the correction deepens, the 0.5 Fibonacci retracement around $2,208 would become the next major technical reference point and could provide a more favorable area for renewed long-side positioning.
