ETHEREUM CLASSIC
Ethereum Classic (ETC) has remained under pressure throughout 2026, with the token down around 42% year to date despite a relatively modest decline of nearly 4% over the past month. This performance reflects the broader weakness seen across the cryptocurrency market amid geopolitical uncertainty and repeated market pullbacks.

With ETC now trading close to its yearly low, traders may be watching to see whether the current support can provide a base for recovery or whether further downside remains possible.

Ethereum Classic (ETC) technical analysis

ETC 30.7

ETCUSD - 1 Day Time Frame

ETC is currently trading around $6.60, slightly above the immediate support level at $6.50, which marks a new low for 2026. This area has become the nearest technical level for buyers to defend and could determine whether the token stabilizes or extends its decline.

On the upside, the first important hurdle is the $7.00 support/resistance level, which is currently acting as resistance. A sustained move above this area could improve the short-term technical outlook and suggest that buying pressure is beginning to strengthen.

For now, however, ETC remains within a broader bearish structure. As long as price stays below the nearby resistance levels, the token could continue consolidating close to its yearly low while the market searches for clearer direction.

Ethereum Classic (ETC) price target

If ETC manages to break above the $7.00 resistance and establish it as support, the next upside target could be the $7.70 resistance level. This area previously acted as an important reaction point and may attract renewed selling pressure.

Should bullish momentum continue beyond $7.70, attention could shift toward the $8.50 resistance level, last seen toward the end of May 2026. Reaching this area would represent a stronger recovery and would likely require improving sentiment across the broader cryptocurrency market.

Conversely, failure to hold above the $6.50 support could weaken the current structure and expose ETC to further downside. Much of the token’s next move could also depend on broader crypto market sentiment, macroeconomic conditions, and geopolitical developments, making these factors important to monitor alongside the key technical levels.
