DOGECOIN AUGUST
Dogecoin (DOGE) has remained relatively stable over the past month, slipping by around 4% despite continued pressure across the broader crypto market. Its longer-term performance remains considerably weaker, however, with DOGE down more than 40% since the start of 2026 amid broader market pullbacks and geopolitical uncertainty.

With the price now consolidating close to its 2026 low, the key question is whether DOGE can build a recovery from current levels or whether further downside could follow.

Dogecoin (DOGE) technical analysis

DOGE 13.8

DOGEUSD - 1 Day Time Frame

Currently trading around $0.070, DOGE remains slightly above its immediate support around $0.068. This area marks the cryptocurrency's 2026 low and represents a particularly important level, with DOGE having last traded around these prices in November 2023.

The recent price action shows DOGE consolidating close to this support following a prolonged decline from its May highs. Holding above $0.068 could help stabilize the current structure, although buyers would still need to overcome nearby resistance before a stronger recovery could develop. The first key level to watch on the upside is $0.074, which currently acts as resistance. A convincing move above this level, followed by the price holding above it, could turn the former resistance into support and improve DOGE's short-term technical outlook.

Conversely, continued selling pressure could keep DOGE trading within the narrow range between $0.068 and $0.074. A decisive move below the $0.068 support would weaken the current structure and could expose DOGE to further downside.

Dogecoin (DOGE) price target

If DOGE manages to break above $0.074 and establish the level as support, buying momentum could strengthen and bring the next resistance around $0.080 into focus. This area was last tested in early July and could represent the next significant hurdle for buyers. A successful break above $0.080 could then open the way toward the more significant $0.092 resistance, last seen in mid-June. Reaching this level would represent a notably more bullish scenario and require DOGE to reverse a larger portion of its recent downward trend.

For now, the $0.068 support and $0.074 resistance form the most immediate range to watch. DOGE's ability to hold its 2026 low while challenging nearby resistance could provide a clearer indication of whether the recent consolidation develops into a recovery or gives way to renewed selling pressure. Broader crypto market sentiment, macroeconomic conditions, and geopolitical developments could also continue to influence DOGE's price direction in the coming weeks.
