BlackRock has introduced two tokenized money market products designed to serve as reserve assets for stablecoins, further expanding the use of regulated financial instruments on blockchain networks. The first product, BlackRock Select Treasury Based Liquidity Fund OnChain Shares (BSTBL), is a tokenized share class of the asset manager’s existing Select Treasury Based Liquidity Fund on Ethereum.

Eligible investors can transfer the tokenized shares between approved wallets, while the underlying fund continues to invest in cash, short-term US Treasurys and overnight repurchase agreements backed by Treasury securities. BNY acts as the transfer agent and tokenization provider for the fund’s onchain shares.

New institutional fund supports multiple blockchains

BlackRock also launched the BlackRock Daily Reinvestment Stablecoin Reserve Vehicle (BRSRV), a newly created tokenized money market fund for institutional investors. The product supports multiple blockchain networks, automatically reinvests dividends each day and is designed for digital asset applications, including the management of stablecoin reserves.

Securitize serves as the transfer agent and tokenization provider for BRSRV. BlackRock said both products are structured to qualify as eligible reserve assets for permitted US payment stablecoin issuers under the GENIUS Act, the federal stablecoin legislation enacted in July 2025.

BlackRock expands its tokenized treasury business

The launch strengthens BlackRock’s position in the tokenized Treasury market. Its USD Institutional Digital Liquidity Fund, known as BUIDL, remains the largest tokenized Treasury fund, with more than $2.6 billion in assets, according to industry data.
