Avalanche (AVAX) has regained some momentum, climbing nearly 10% over the past week amid improving sentiment across the crypto market and renewed optimism on the regulatory front. The recovery comes after a difficult year for AVAX, which remains down around 40% since the start of 2026 following months of geopolitical uncertainty and broader market weakness.

The latest rebound has nevertheless improved AVAX's short-term price structure. With the token now trading around $7.40, the question is whether buyers can build on the recovery and challenge higher levels, or whether the recent advance will give way to another pullback.

AVAXUSD - 1 Day Time Frame

AVAX has recovered strongly from the $6.20 support area, which provided a base for the latest upward move. The rally briefly carried the price toward $8.00 before some selling pressure emerged, leaving AVAX trading around $7.40. The nearest area to watch on the downside is now around $7.00, which could act as immediate support following the recent breakout. Holding above this level would help preserve the improved short-term structure and could provide buyers with another opportunity to challenge the recent highs.

If $7.00 fails to hold, attention could shift back toward $6.20, where the latest rally began. A deeper decline could bring the stronger support around $5.90 back into focus. On the upside, the main obstacle is the $8.30 area. This level previously acted as support and resistance and has not seen a daily close above it since early June 2026, making it an important test for the current recovery.

Avalanche (AVAX) price target

A sustained move above $8.30 could strengthen the bullish outlook and potentially turn the area into support. If buyers successfully defend it following a breakout, AVAX could have room to extend its recovery toward higher price levels. The main upside target would then be around $10.50, a major resistance area last tested in May. Reaching this level would represent a substantial extension of the current rebound and could bring increased selling pressure as traders approach a previous market high.

Conversely, rejection around $8.30 could leave AVAX consolidating between resistance and the immediate $7.00 support. A break below that support could weaken the recent bullish momentum and shift attention back toward $6.20 and potentially $5.90.

AVAX's next move could also remain sensitive to broader crypto market sentiment, macroeconomic developments, regulatory updates, and geopolitical conditions. For now, $7.00 and $8.30 form the key boundaries to watch, with a convincing break in either direction potentially providing greater clarity on the next phase of AVAX's price action.
