The rollout began across more than 150 countries, although available features differ by market. Users can transfer supported digital assets, including stablecoins, directly to another person’s World username, deposit eligible assets to earn rewards, and buy or sell digital assets through integrated exchanges.
World Money also provides access to third-party Mini Apps, including Kalshi, Credit and Morpho, extending the range of financial services available within the platform. Through a partnership with Stripe, users can also fund their accounts and purchase stablecoins using Apple Pay. The feature is initially being made available to users in the United States.
The launch builds on World’s efforts to expand the financial capabilities of World App, which debuted in May 2023 with World ID, a crypto wallet, stablecoin transfers and token trading. In October 2024, the company introduced World App 3.0 as a “super app for humans,” adding third-party Mini Apps alongside a Vault feature that allowed users to earn rewards on eligible assets.
World continued expanding its financial services in November 2025 by piloting virtual bank accounts in the US. The feature was extended to additional countries the following month, allowing users to receive paychecks and bank deposits that are converted into USDC.
The launch of World Money also marks a change in how World organizes its identity and financial products, with the two functions now divided between dedicated applications. World ID App focuses on identity verification and credentials, while World Money handles wallets, payments and other financial services. Existing World App and World ID App users can access World Money using their current accounts, according to the company.
World Money is operated by Tools for Humanity, the company co-founded by Sam Altman and Alex Blania that develops technology supporting the World network. The new app represents the latest expansion of World’s financial ecosystem, bringing several capabilities previously developed within World App into a dedicated self-custody financial platform available across more than 150 countries.
