On August 14, the NAPP announced that Ravnaq Bank had been approved to participate in its pilot program. Previously, in May 2023, the Agency confirmed that Kapital Bank would also issue a crypto card.
The Uzbeki crypto card will be named UzNEX, and it will integrate a bank account with access to a crypto exchange and an automated exchange mechanism, according to the statement. Mastercard, one of the world's largest payment systems, will support the card.
The current deadline for both banks' final client rollouts of crypto cards is the end of December 2023. Kapital Bank and Ravnaq are the two remaining registered participants in the national digital sandbox.
