The Uniswap developer team consulted its community in a governance proposal to deploy the Uniswap v3 protocol to BNB Chain from Ethereum. The result of the poll? 80% of voters were in favor of deploying the third version of Uniswap on BNB Chain, which is considered as a fierce competitor of Ethereum.

Decentralized finance protocol Plasma Finance CEO Ilia Maksimenka proposed on January 17th that it is the right time for Uniswap to go ahead with this shift, which has received overwhelming support and acceptance from the community of the decentralized exchange.

Cameron O’Donnell, DAO governance strategist at ConsenSys, re-iterated the general concerns surrounding the centralization of BNB Smart Chain, but that the company views “the protocol’s brand as standalone and not beholden to any particular chain,” before encouraging stakeholders, delegates and other members of the community to engage with the temperature check.
