Uniswap Labs plans to launch a new mobile wallet that offers users the ability to swap on both layer-1 and layer-2 networks without switching blockchains.

The wallet will enable users to access price charts and search for any token across multiple networks, including Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, and Optimism.

The wallet's security is ensured through collaboration with Trail of Bits, which conducted an audit of the wallet. Seed phrases and private keys of newly created and imported wallets will be encrypted and saved on devices using Apple's Secure Enclave, which is excluded from device backups. Users can store their seed phrases manually or encrypt them and save them on iCloud.

Uniswap Labs faced issues with Apple’s App Store over its mobile wallet, even though its first build was approved in October. While other self-custody swapping wallets have been approved, Uniswap’s final build was rejected by Apple just a few days before its planned December 2022 launch.

Despite responding to Apple’s concerns and reiterating compliance with its guidelines, Uniswap is still awaiting approval from the App Store. As a result, it is offering early access to a select few thousand Testflight users as it waits for approval.
