The project is led by Freedom 45 Games and entrepreneur Bill Zanker, who previously helped launch Trump’s official memecoin and several NFT collections. According to the project’s website, the game is set to release on December 30 and is already open for preregistration.
A short demo on the project’s website showcases a digital version of New York. Players move across the map by rolling dice — similar to the classic board game Monopoly — and earn resources to build properties and unlock additional activities.
The in-game wallet can be topped up with regular money, cryptocurrencies, or the TRUMP Coin, a popular memecoin. The game will also feature NFT figurines and collectible pins, which are meant to serve as in-game items rather than investments.
The creators emphasize in a disclaimer that Donald Trump and his companies are not involved in the development or operation of the game.
Before launch, the game offers an airdrop competition for players who earn the most points through actions such as registering an account, holding TRUMP Coin, or inviting new users.
The release comes as holders of Trump’s memecoin face a steep decline in value. The token, which launched shortly before Trump took office on January 20, surged above $73 in its early days, reaching a market capitalization of more than $14.5 billion.
Since then, the price has dropped by more than 92 % and currently trades around $5.89, according to CoinGecko. After the game announcement, however, the token saw a brief 3.4 % uptick over 24 hours.
Cryptocurrencies linked to Donald Trump’s name have been under scrutiny from Democratic lawmakers in the United States. Some have even called on financial authorities and ethics committees to review projects tied to his brand. Freedom 45 Games has not yet responded to media inquiries.
