Following the 1.14 network update in February, the Solana network experienced a significant decrease in block production, causing transaction disruptions. To address this issue, validators quickly downgraded the software to restore performance levels.
Anatoly Yakovenko, the CEO and founder of Solana Labs, issued a statement detailing the ecosystem's plan to enhance its recent network upgrades. The primary objective of this plan is to prioritize stability as the network continues to undergo its transition.
He presented a six-step plan to streamline the network upgrade process. The plan included the formation of an adversarial team comprising one-third of the Solana engineering team, which would focus on building additional hooks and instrumentation into the validator code to target underlying protocol exploits.
On the March 2, 2023, the Solana ecosystem is scheduled to hold a call to discuss the state of the ecosystem and other related matters. Later in the same month on the 27th of March, Helium Network's communication protocol is planning to shift to the Solana blockchain to deploy oracles. Save the dates!
