The legal team of Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) is seeking access to the assets & funds of under-fire FTX by removing a bail condition which prevents him from doing so. The letter sent by SBF lawyer Mark Cohen to the United States District Court Judge Lewis Kaplan stated that Sam Bankman-Fried should be given access to the assets held by FTX.
Bankman-Fried denied any involvement in the transactions surrounding the infamous collapse of FTX in November, with the fallen exchange seeking over $659 million in unauthorized transfers till date.
The letter doesn’t only encapsulate SBF’s right to access FTX funds, but other matters as well. Cohen’s letter also calls for Bankman-Fried to be able to have unlimited contact with his father, therapist and any representative of a foreign regulator without the presence or intervention of attorneys.
