Mysterious Bitcoin Wallet is 3rd Largest BTC Holder

!myst1

The mysterious Bitcoin wallet that ascended to become the world's third-largest holder of BTC in just over three months has been identified.

The wallet address first received Bitcoin on March 8, according to data from the crypto analytics platform BitInfoCharts. Over the next three months and two weeks, the wallet amassed 118,000 BTC, which is now worth $3.08 billion at current values.

The sudden and massive accumulation of Bitcoin under a single wallet address sparked a lot of speculation at the time.

Some people speculated that it was most likely a crypto exchange shifting funds, while some more radical Crypto Twitter users speculated that BlackRock was the major culprit.

However, the mystery appears to have been solved, as blockchain intelligence provider Arkham Intelligence has labeled the wallet as Robinhood: Jump Trading Custody.

According to BitInfoCharts, the current largest Bitcoin wallets in the world are apparently controlled by Binance and Bitfinex – as Bitcoin cold wallets.

The Robinhood wallet is ranked third, followed by another Binance cold wallet in fourth position.
