Every week, the Essential Cardano platform publishes a highly anticipated development report on Fridays. The report released on May 12th includes significant releases and advancements from various core teams.
One of the key highlights from the report is the release of Cardano node v.8.0.0 by the core technology team. This release brings new governance actions that enable on-chain SPO polls. The ledger team has also been focused on improving the Conway ledger era and node integration. The Cardano wallet development team has also been working on the Lace desktop app to bring support for HD wallets and multi-delegation.
The report highlights the progress made by the Plutus tools team in documenting the Marconi-sidechain architecture and enhancing the Plutus Tx standard library, while the Marlowe team worked on ensuring contracts’ safety through library functions and developing Marlowe Runtime and Explorer.
Another update mentioned in the report is the Mithril team’s release of a new 2318.0 distribution and preparation for the Mithril network release on mainnet. The report also details the successful applicants for the CIP-1694 workshop grants announced by IOG, EMURGO, and the Cardano Foundation.
