Is It a Good Time to Buy Chainlink?

!linkdouble
Chainlink (LINK) has been trading without a clear directional bias for several weeks. Extended periods of sideways rotation often precede stronger directional moves, and LINK is currently positioned at a level where the next phase of price action is being determined. The market’s reaction around current levels may provide insight into whether downside pressure resumes or whether conditions begin to favor a broader move higher.

Chainlink technical analysis

LINK 22.12

LINKUSD – 4-Hour Time Frame

LINK has been consolidating within a well-defined range for approximately one month. An initial upside breakout occurred earlier in this period; however, the market was unable to sustain acceptance above that area and subsequently rotated back into the range. After re-entering the range, price paused near the 50% midpoint, indicating temporary balance, but this level did not hold and selling pressure gradually resumed.

At present, LINK has tested a key support zone between 11.70 and 12.00 for the second time. This area previously acted as a base, prompting a strong rebound back toward the 50% range level, which is now being retested from below. As such, this midpoint has become a critical reference. If the market fails to reclaim and hold this level, the probability of further downside could increase, with price potentially exploring liquidity below the marked support zone and beneath the broader range that has contained LINK for an extended period.

Chainlink price target

If buying interest manages to stabilize price at current levels and a constructive reaction develops, the nearest logical upside objective would be the resistance zone highlighted on the chart between 13.50 and 13.70. This area aligns with the upper boundary of the established range, which enhances its technical relevance.

Price behavior around this resistance is likely to be decisive for the next phase of market structure. A sustained break and acceptance above this zone could signal an end to the prolonged sideways rotation and suggest a transition toward a more constructive trend. Conversely, failure to overcome this resistance may reinforce the range-bound structure and keep LINK within its broader consolidation phase.
