The world population has recently passed a significant milestone, with 8 billion people now sharing the globe. Meanwhile, cryptocurrency acceptance is increasing. According to Worldometer, which uses forecasts from a United Nations study for 2022, the world population surpassed 8 billion today, on 15th of November, more than doubling from 4 billion in 1974. However, there is presently no agreement on how much of the world's population owns digital assets such as cryptocurrencies, with estimates fluctuating.
The global crypto ownership rate is expected to be approximately 4.2% by 2022, with over 320 million crypto users globally. According to the survey, the United States led the pack with 46 million crypto holders, followed by India, Pakistan, and Nigeria. China, on the other hand, remains a challenging place to determine the extent of crypto ownership.
A substantial chunk of the world's most populous population is thought to be tech-savvy and eager for cryptocurrency. There are no precise crypto ownership figures available. It is expected that Bitcoin adoption alone will reach the 10% by 2030.
