Germany has hit an all-time high in global venture capital financing share in 2023 despite a fall in the overall performance of the blockchain business globally, according to a report produced by Crypto Valley Venture Capital (CVVC),
A recent CVVC analysis titled "The German Blockchain Report 2023" highlighted that the country's blockchain sector recorded a total investment of $355 million over 34 transactions. According to the CVVC, this is a 3% year-over-year (YoY) increase in funding for the Western European country.
According to the report, Germany also enjoyed a record share of worldwide funding. According to reports, the country garnered 2.4% of worldwide blockchain capital and 2.5% of global agreements. In 2023, the country had an increase in both global funding and global deals compared to 2022 levels of 0.9% and 1.9%, respectively.
When it comes to Europe, Germany has contributed significantly to the region's blockchain ecosystem. According to the research, the country received 9.4% of all European blockchain funding and 10.3% of all European blockchain agreements.
