Elon Musk, the chairman and chief technology officer of X (previously Twitter), has praised Vivek Ramaswamy, the young and developing Republican presidential candidate in the United States.

Musk said in response to a segment of Ramaswamy's Tucker Carlson's Tucker on Twitter podcast, "Vivek Ramaswamy is the youngest-ever Republican presidential candidate." Musk went on to say, "He is a very promising candidate."

Ramaswamy, known for his frank comments on digital banking and cryptocurrencies, has advocated for a stronger crypto environment in the United States.

At the Bitcoin 2023 conference in Miami, he announced that his campaign would accept Bitcoin contributions which makes him the second presidential candidate in the 2024 US election to do so.

During the event, Ramaswamy released a QR code that directed attendees to a donation portal with a variety of donation options. Qualifying donors would receive an exclusive nonfungible token for contributions up to $6,600.

Ramaswamy's choice echoes that of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the first U.S. presidential candidate to accept Bitcoin donations, highlighting the growing relevance and impact of cryptocurrencies in defining the financial landscape ahead.
