BITmarkets | Dogecoin Carbon Emissions Down 25%

Research indicates that Elon Musk-backed Dogecoin has reduced its carbon footprint in 2022 by 25%, with the feat greatly attributed to Musk’s proactive efforts in reducing carbon emissions. Dogecoin produced 1,063 tons of CO2 emissions in 2022, noticeably down from the 1,423 tons released in 2021.

The themes of green investing and Earth-friendly initiatives are attracting more attention, as consumer, investor and trader behavior continues to shift in the ever-so evolving world of today. Doge’s achievement is a plus to its brand image which has already been quite boosted amid Musk’s support.

Since the start of the year, Dogecoin (DOGE) enjoyed a 24% escalation in its price-tag to currently value at $0.087 per coin. While this is miles away from its all-time high of nearly $0.70, this may be the start of greater things ahead for the doggy Doge.
