Google searches for "buy Bitcoin" have shot up by more than 800% in the last week as the cryptocurrency market continues to grow.

According to Cryptogambling.tv research, the search term "buy Bitcoin" increased by an astounding 826% in the United Kingdom over the course of seven days.

“The remarkable surge in 'buy Bitcoin' searches in the UK, combined with the cryptocurrency's resurgence, underscores the growing interest and potential impact of traditional financial institutions' involvement in the world of digital assets,” stated a Cryptogambling.tv spokesperson.

While users in the United Kingdom led the pack, there was also a noticeable increase in searches for purchasing Bitcoin from web users all over the world.

According to Google Trends, searches from users in the United States for "should I buy Bitcoin now?" increased by more than 250% in the last week, while more niche searches such as "can I buy Bitcoin on Fidelity?" increased by more than 3,100%.

In another light, the search term "Is it a good time to buy Bitcoin?" has increased 110% in the last week globally.

In comparison, "BlackRock Bitcoin ETF" increased 250%, indicating a broader interest in information about BlackRock's spot Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF), which is currently awaiting approval.
