Australia Overtakes El Salvador and Becomes 4th Largest Crypto Hub
Data from CoinATMRadar confirms that Australia has surpassed El Salavador in total crypto ATM installations. El Salvador is the first country in the world to legalize Bitcoin (BTC), but has been pushed down by other nations which doubled-up on their crypto initiatives, notably the United States, Canada and Spain.
In the final quarter of 2022, Australia deployed a total of 99 crypto ATMs, and as of January 1st, Australia recorded more than 215 crypto ATMs installed, surpassing El Salvador by 7 ATMs.
On a macro-level perspective, the Aussies represent 0.6% of global crypto ATM installation, and should it continue to deploy crypto ATMs at this pace, it is eyed to surpass Asia’s total crypto ATM installations.
