Bitcoin ETFs Record Eight-day Inflow Streak
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted $388.3 million in inflows on Wednesday, marking eight straight days of positive momentum despite earlier market jitters triggered by the Israel-Iran conflict.
Leading the pack were BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) with $278.9 million and Fidelity’s Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) with $104.4 million, according to Farside Investors. The consistent inflows suggest strong institutional confidence, with Bitcoin holding steady around $105,000.
Santiment noted that the reaction mirrored past geopolitical events, where Bitcoin dipped briefly before stabilizing, as seen during the Ukraine war and the 2023 Israel-Palestine conflict.
Bitwise’s Bitcoin ETF (BITB) was the only other fund to record inflows that day with $11.3 million. Other issuers like ARK, Invesco, Franklin Templeton, Valkyrie, VanEck, and WisdomTree saw no inflows. Meanwhile, Grayscale’s Bitcoin Trust ETF (GBTC) lost $16.4 million, and its Mini Trust saw $10.1 million in outflows.
Since April 17, Bitcoin ETFs have gained momentum, accumulating $11.2 billion in inflows. Bitcoin's price has surged from under $85,000 to nearly $105,000 during this period, with only eight days of outflows. Overall, over $46.3 billion has flowed into the 11 products, led by BlackRock and Fidelity, although Grayscale has seen $23.2 billion in outflows.
On the Ethereum side, U.S. spot Ether ETFs broke a 19-day inflow streak on June 13 but bounced back with three consecutive days of gains, including $19.1 million on Wednesday. BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHA) continues to lead, having recorded inflows nearly every trading day since May 20.
This surge comes amid increased regulatory clarity from the SEC, which recently stated that protocol-level staking does not constitute a securities transaction, opening the door for staking-enabled Ether ETFs in the future.
