BITmarkets Café Honors International Father’s Day

On June 15th, BITmarkets Café at Arkády Pankrác in Prague once again welcomed guests to mark a special occasion: International Father’s Day. The event, titled Bitcoin: The Money Revolution in the 21st Century, brought together visitors from different backgrounds to celebrate appreciation, family, and the strength of community, while honoring the often-overlooked roles that fathers and father figures play in society.

Building on the success of our Crypto for Women event earlier this year, this gathering continued our mission to create welcoming spaces for crypto education.

The day began with a short introduction on the origins and significance of Father’s Day, its early 20th-century roots, and why it’s celebrated around the world. We also reflected on March’s International Women’s Day event, recognizing a shared purpose: to support conversations that make digital finance more accessible, inclusive, and empowering.

Exploring crypto with security in focus

The main part of the event featured a 90-minute presentation by Tomáš Krause, who returned to share his clear and approachable teaching style. His goal was to make crypto understandable for everyone, covering the basics of Bitcoin alongside recent developments in the digital asset space.

The presentation opened up an engaging discussion around crypto security, with guests raising questions and sharing their experiences. Topics focused on practical tools and methods to help users manage and safeguard their cryptocurrency holdings. The discussion helped bring clarity to one of the most important areas of crypto adoption: staying secure.

New design, same welcoming experience

Guests also had a chance to explore the newly redesigned BITmarkets website, which was warmly received. The updated look and smoother user experience reflect our continued effort to make crypto more accessible and intuitive. Meanwhile, the café’s familiar setting offered a relaxed space for meaningful conversations, allowing guests to connect, ask questions and learn in person.

As the event wrapped up, one thing was clear: there is real interest in connecting over shared topics, asking questions and learning in person. BITmarkets will continue to support this, offering events that encourage curiosity and help more people take their first steps into digital finance.
