Terra is a decentralized blockchain platform designed to support stablecoins and decentralized finance (DeFi) applications. Originally launched in 2018 by Terraform Labs, Terra aimed to create algorithmic stablecoins pegged to fiat currencies, facilitating efficient global payments.
