The Sandbox platform has welcomed the first McDonald’s Web3 experience to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Chicken McNuggets; McNuggets Land.
McDonald’s Hong Kong has created an interactive virtual space for users to play and complete quests for rewards, including exciting vouchers and coupons such as a 365-day fee Chicken McNuggets coupon. To join the virtual world, all what’s needed is the user’s email address.
This metaverse experience takes The Sandbox to “a new level” and brings it “closer to realizing the ultimate goal of mass adoption of the metaverse,” remarked Sebastien Borget in a statement, co-founder and chief operating officer of The Sandbox.
Borget also added the following with regards to on-platform metaverse experiences:
“The launch of self-publishing now allows our partners to realize the true potential and monetise their brand in the metaverse by making their customer experience available to everyone, all the time.”
The Sandbox has co-operated with nearly 400 companies in the name of creating virtual worlds for industry giants and icons, including Adidas, Gucci, Atari, The Walking Dead and Snoop Dogg.
