In its newest ecosystem update, Gala Games announced that GALA will replace TOWN in the blockbuster agricultural game Town Star. The decision is part of Gala Games' aim to develop Town Star and better integrate it into the Gala Games ecosystem.

Benefactor has disclosed that they have been trying several sorts of tokenomics initiatives for more than a year. The CEO feels that this is the wisest move, especially because Mark Skaggs, the former Farmville main developer, is taking over.

The CEO of Gala Games said that their popular Web3 farming game, Town Star, has undergone various upgrades, most notably the enhancements to the play-to-earn features.

The CEO of Gala Games stated that hiring Mark Skaggs to run Town Star was one of the most important adjustments they'd made. Skaggs is most known for his leadership of Farmville, one of the most popular agricultural simulations and social networking games.

The TOWN-to-Gala conversion is planned to take place within the next 60 days, and users will have at least 180 days to complete the transaction. Gala Games said at the end of the announcement that there would be a playtest at the end of this month, with a full release in February. The updated version will include the new earning options as well as other features such as decorating, NFT levels, and more.
